Process & Design

Each engagement ring box starts as a solid piece of seasoned timber. We carefully select the finest African wenge for colour and grain. The timber is then cut (bookmatched) in our workshop to ensure the timber remains strong and stable.

Next, the timber is cut to size, carved, drilled and sanded by hand. Custom made brass hinges are then installed and the box is left for 24 hours to cure.

We take pride in the final process – finishing. Each box is hand sanded, coated with a mixture of bees wax and burnishing oil. The internal velvet parts are cut to size and then installed by hand. 

Our design process allows us to customise your box to suit your ring, ensuring the best fit. Each engagement box is made to last a lifetime.

The wenge timber used in this product is FSC certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® A.C. (FSC®). FSC is the global mark of responsible forestry.

Each box is made to order, our current processing time is 1 – 3 days. We offer free standard shipping Australia wide.
